Top 5 Skyrim Mods

Skyrim might be one of the most popular games of this decade, and one of the buggiest too.
Exploiting this "advantage", a bunch of mods have been appearing on the net since the game's release. Game purists try to put these mods down by saying this is not the way the game should be played. But, seriously, who cares? It's my game and I will play it my way. Here are some of the best mods for Skyrim as of 2013. You'll find instructions for installing these mods here.

5 - Hatsune Miku (Vocaloid) kigurumi

For those unfamiliar with J-culture, Hatsune Miku is a virtual singer with a computer-generated voice that uses the Vocaloid technology from Yamaha Corporation. That means that neither she nor her voice exist, but she has a huge fanbase on Japan and is getting big all over the world as well.

Here's a video of her singing LIVE (those are actual people cheering for her!)

And, also, kigurumi is a Japanese word for costumes that represent anime characters. But isn't this cosplay? Well, the difference is that a kigurumi is a full set costume, with a mask and everything. It looks creepy sometimes.

So moe...

So here's the deal: There's this Skyrim mod that is basically an armor mod that gives you the option of crafting Miku masks, cuirasses, and boots, so you can look like her. The way this works is like a kigurumi: your character will not look like Miku forever, it's just a costume you can take off. It has both Light and Heavy Armor sets.

4 - ApachiiSkyHair

It's basically a port from The Sims that allows you to use more hairstyles. The texture also looks better than the vanilla one.

These are some of the options. There are hairstyles for men too.

3 - Unlimited Bookshelves

This is quite an useful mod for those who like decorating their houses in Skyrim (me included). The vanilla bookshelves only allow books and the built-in object-placing system is poor and defies some laws of Physics. With this, you can use bookshelves to organize your trophies and treasures.

2 - Lightweight Potions and Poisons

Carrying lots of stuff is quite natural when you're playing Skyrim, but having to drop something is a pain in the arse. Potions and poisons weigh way too much and slow you down, but you just can't stop bringing health potions everywhere... Who knows what's gonna happen?
This mod lightens potions and poisons making them more reasonable to carry. You'll notice it immediately because your backpack will empty up a lot. This is one of the most useful mods.

1 - Reverse Crafting (!!!)

Have you ever played Skyrim? If so, you'll quite understand why this one is a must-have. But if you haven't, I'll tell you: the worst part of crafting is finding/smelting ores for ingots. Especially iron ingots, the most common... Sometimes you have lots of ebony ingots and not a single iron one inside your backpack. So this speeds up stuff a lot because you can take a sword/dagger/etc and smelt it.  Seriously.

Must... Kill... Draugr Deathlords... And take the loot...

That's it. Hope it was worth your time. バイバイ!!!
